This passage includes two difficult statements–verse 30, “Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.” And verse 32, “But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.” You will love the answers that come out of the context, and from the incarnation–both are treasured truths and apply to us today, and speak to being prepared (to LIVE and to DIE), and ready for the return of Christ.

We continue through Mark 13 with verses 7 to 9, and the good news for the Church is the rapture–God will snatch His Bride home to be with Him forever. Some think it will be in the middle of the Tribulation, others just before the final outpouring of God’s wrath, still others right at the end–but we believe it will be before the Tribulation. Are the eschatological birthpangs intensifying, bringing us closer to the final end? The first sign is religious deception. False doctrine is commonly embraced. More claim the authority of Christ.
