Nothing But Leaves (Mark 11:12-21)
In this passage of Mark, Jesus performs his only negative miracle recorded in the Bible. Why does Jesus curse a fig tree? See how the Lord uses this powerful picture as an analogy to teach us how much he hates false religion, and how he takes action against it by cleansing the temple.

The Cosmetic Coronation of the True King (Mark 11:1-11)
The COSMETIC CORONATION OF THE TRUE KING, better known as the Triumphal Entry. Thousands of people were heralding Christ as the Messiah–but when He didn’t do what they wanted, they just walked away and it was suddenly over. Their shouts of praise were empty. What was really going on as Christ entered Jerusalem amid the praise of the people? And what was the Lord’s reason and purpose for this event? You will be surprised, and challenged, and moved to find out.
The Blind Man Who Truly Sees (Mark 10:46-52)
One of the last miracles of our Lord prior to the cross–Bartimaeus is freed from the darkness of blindness, and from the darkness of his sin at the same moment. God is glorified, and you will be challenged in a great way to reach out to those who are blind, but think they can see.
Living in a Devout Frame (Colossians 1:15-23)
There are times in our lives when God’s grace and His plans for us become very clear to us, but we have a tendency to forget when everyday life crowds back in. As believers, all of life should be lived in response to the deep truths of who Christ is and what He has done. Let the amazing depths of Colossians 1:15-23 motivate you to let the gospel change the way you think and live.

The Path to True Greatness (Mark 10:35-45)
What kind of life finishes well? It is radically different than what the world tells us. The world tells us to promote ourselves, to get the credit, to focus on ourselves, to be ambitious, to be confident and competitive. But the path to true spiritual greatness is something totally different, and our Lord spells it out with a radical, life-changing passage you must not miss.
The Commitment of Christ to Go to the Cross (Mark 10:32-34)
We are never more like God than when we give. The magnitude of Christ’s sacrifice will overpower us today. As Jesus travels to Jerusalem to serve in His final week, He reveals what awaits Him. Jesus knows every detail of the cross, and the indescribable agony of bearing God the Father’s holy wrath for our sin. And yet He resolutely walks toward this death.
Isaiah’s Vision of God (Isaiah 6:1-8)
Prepare to be amazed and humbled in the presence of our sovereign and holy God. We will see that our usefulness to God is directly related to how we view Him. Be ready to look over Isaiah’s shoulder and get a glimpse of the King of kings and Lord of lords. It will encourage you!
Why Has God Given Us SO Much? (1 Tim 6:17-19)
As a church and as individuals, we have much to be thankful for. In America, economically, our bottom 5% make about the same on average as the top 5% in India. There is no doubt that the cost of living is different, yet we are blessed beyond measure–nationally, regionally, as a church, and as individual people. Whether you are unemployed, still in school, or residing in a nursing home, you have much to be thankful for!
