The Glory of Adoption – Part 6
We are a church that loves adoption for many reasons–the greatest of which is that our God loves adoption, and every genuine child of God has been adopted. This week we look at the greatness of our adoption by God and how we can reflect His love in the here and now.
What is a Biblical Christian – Part 5
Do you know the answer to, “what is a biblical Christian?” It’s a question you can’t be indifferent to or ignorant of–yet very few believers and almost no unbelievers can answer.
Propitiation, Supernatural Love – Part 3
This sermon will be an encouraging look at the supernatural love of God for fallen men and women like us. As I’ve prepared to preach this Sunday, I’ve been learning new things and been overwhelmed by the love of God for us.
Reconciliation – Part 2
We have the particular joy of having our missionary to Uganda, Shannon Hurley, back with us. He is a wild and crazy guy (but not in an SNL sense). Every time he’s with us, Shannon flames with passion for the King who reigns over all. This year, we get to hear him preach on the doctrine of Reconciliation, as we continue our Summer Series on Gospel Greatness.
Salvation Pictures – Part 1
This sermon is the beginning of an exciting study of the doctrine of salvation, Gospel Greatness, as we rejoice over what Jesus Christ did for us through His life and death on the cross. This sermon surveys the entire doctrine, to see the overall cove so to speak, before we explore each individual truth.
The Need for Reminders (Mark 8:1-21)
The Lord will be giving us some needed reminders. My heart was so encouraged to pursue Christ and to work at reminding myself of what is really important–this is a powerful passage!
A Gauge For Women (Titus 2:1-5)
Return with us to some ancient truths about men and women that still matter for today. God designed us to live, minister and serve in unique and distinctive ways. Listen and learn about God’s plan for you.
Breaking Down Barriers (Mark 7:24-30)
Jesus leaves the land of Israel and travels 30 to 40 miles on foot to the land of Tyre and ministers greatly to a Gentile woman in great need. Not only does the Lord bless her by answering her request, but He also tests her faith in a way which will blow you away and open your eyes to how Christ tests us!
Polluted From Within (Mark 7:14-23)
The heart of every problem is a problem of the heart. If sin is viewed as merely external, I can alter my external behavior and think I have overcome sin. The result is that I become proud. Proud people find it difficult to see themselves as the problem, but Jesus wants you to know you are the problem every time. Sin comes from within us.
