Breaking Down Barriers (Mark 7:24-30)
Jesus leaves the land of Israel and travels 30 to 40 miles on foot to the land of Tyre and ministers greatly to a Gentile woman in great need. Not only does the Lord bless her by answering her request, but He also tests her faith in a way which will blow you away and open your eyes to how Christ tests us!
Polluted From Within (Mark 7:14-23)
The heart of every problem is a problem of the heart. If sin is viewed as merely external, I can alter my external behavior and think I have overcome sin. The result is that I become proud. Proud people find it difficult to see themselves as the problem, but Jesus wants you to know you are the problem every time. Sin comes from within us.
The Lord Versus the Legalists (Mark 7:6-13) Part 2
Do you feel strongly about issues not directly taught in the New Testament? Then you need to hear what Jesus says about legalism as He condemns the hypocritical legalists in Mark 7:6 to 13. Get your Bible ready–it is going to get hot!
The Lord Versus the Legalists (Mark 7:1-13) Part 1
Why should we run from legalism? Because legalism can kill a church, legalism can wreck a home, and legalism can send someone straight to Hell. Are you a legalist?
Get Rid of Your Religion (John 3)
As Nicodemus finally understood salvation, we pray that this message helps you and those you love to better understand the gift of God’s grace in Christ Jesus.
The Healing Promise (Mark 6:53-56)
In Mark 6:53 to 56 we will witness the amazing healing power of Jesus Christ. So as we expose God’s Word about healing, the gift of healing, healings in the Old and New Testament, ultimately I want to help you get a handle on how to understand healing; to celebrate our God who still heals; to understand what the gift of healing was; and why the apostles could heal sometimes but not heal other times in the New Testament.
Gospel Passion (Rom 1:14-16)
If you believe that the power of God stands behind the gospel and every person’s salvation, then you will be driven to preach the gospel to your friends, neighbors and family.
The Priority of People (Mark 6:30-44)
In the midst of proving the deity of Christ, our Lord demonstrates the importance of rest, obeying when you can’t see what God is doing, giving without measure, power through our weakness, little things used in a great way, and a strong message concerning His passion for people.
How Do We View Our Gifted Brothers and Sisters? (1 Cor 12:12-27)
We should be able to say two things to our brothers and sisters giftedness. You want to listen to find out.
Really Bad Things Can Happen to God’s Favorite People (Mark 6:14-29)
In Mark 6:14-29 you will have your eyes opened not only embracing the fact that God’s children can suffer and die in very unfair situations, but that God is still in control even when there is infidelity, betrayal, anger, incest, murder, divorce, political intrigue, jealously, spite, revenge, lewdness, lust, cold-heartedness, cruelty, brutality and violence.
Membership #5 – Family Relationships in the Church
Family relationships — how do we all get along, how do our elders lead, what is the role of a deacon, what do we do about defiantly sinner so-called believers in the church family, why is the church called a family, a body and a fellowship? . . . all answered in the final message of our church membership series.
