Kari
Raised in a Christian home, Kari came to know Jesus while on a missions trip to Ireland. The lifestyle of Christians there convicted her and caused her to trust Him personally.
IN HIS STEPS: The Pattern of Suffering to Follow (1 Pet 2:21-25)
This passage is a powerful reminder of the suffering of Christ for us and God’s expectation that we would suffer just like Jesus. Prepare for your heart to be affected as we talk about the Savior who suffered and died for us.
IN HIS STEPS: Following Christ will be Painful (1 Pet 2:21)
It will cost you more than you know to follow Jesus. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
Enduring Unjust Difficulty Pleases God (1 Pet 2:18-20)
Submission is a heart revealer. It can show what kind of heart you have. It may indicate that your heart has not been born again. Or it may expose areas that need to be brought under the Word of God by the Spirit of God and that process can be DIFFICULT and PAINFUL. But make no mistake, Submission is God’s Will. Christ submits to the Father – and we are to be like Christ and submit to God’s appointed authorities.
Mark
Though long in the church, Mark was convicted by his hypocrisy, repented and turned to Christ. Now Mark remains in awe over God’s grace in his life.
What to do when Government is Unfair, part two (1 Pet 2:13-17)
This week, we look again at the passage, in more depth, to learn what to do when your government is unfair and acting contrary to what you believe is right.
What to do when Government is Unfair (1 Pet 2:13-17) Part 1
How do you react when you are treated unfairly – when you are in the RIGHT, but the other is in the WRONG? How should Christians react when a boss, a teacher, an employer, a parent, an elder or your government is in the wrong and they are in the right? Peter tells us what to do when authority is in the WRONG.
Battling to Make a Difference (1 Pet 2:11-12)
Do you struggle with negative feelings, strong desires or immoral passions? Are you wondering how you are going to overcome your fear in witnessing in your neighborhood or at school? Peter is going to answer these questions and more as he describes for us our internal and external battle so that we can make a difference for Christ.
Josh
Though a nice and moral guy, Josh explains how he was ignorant of the gospel and was drawn to know God.
The Proof of Christianity (1 Cor 15:1-11)
Why we know Jesus Christ is truly the only resurrected SAVIOR!
Why People Do Not Fear God (Luke 12:4-5)
I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him! (Luke 12:4-5)
Giving what God has Given (2 Cor 8-9, 1 Cor 16)
You can fool a spouse, your family, other Christians, but you can’t fool the Holy Spirit as He gets right to the heart of the matter on a topic which is one of the truest indicators of your genuine spiritual condition.
