— LAST SUNDAY'S SERMON —
In Matthew 7:28–29, we conclude by considering The Amazing Authority of Christ. The sermon on the mount wraps up with the reaction of the crowd to Christ, which was AMAZEMENT without repentance. This Sunday, we will examine our hearts, embrace the greatness of our SAVIOR, and learn much about him.

Increasing Your Passion to Pray (Dan 9:1-19)
For Daniel, prayer was so important. A decree went out for no one to worship anyone but the king. Daniel ignored the command, continued to do what he’d always been doing, and prayed three times a day. Daniel wouldn’t stop praying, even though it meant he’d be thrown into a den of hungry lions. That’s not a pleasant way to die. How important is prayer to you?
Evil Men are Coming (Dan 8)
Daniel is upset by what God reveals to him in chapter 8. What causes Daniel to be shaken? He sees two great powers in conflict, then an evil man rising up from the second great power who persecutes God’s people. But as the prophecy continues, an angel explains that this evil man seems to foreshadow another man, who is coming in the future, who is even more evil and deadly than the first.

What to Expect in the Future (Dan 7)
The second coming of Christ is mentioned eight times more than His first coming. The Lord referred to His second coming 21 times in the New Testament. We are told over fifty times in the New Testament to be ready for Christ’s return. And Daniel 7 describes the second coming of Christ.
The Power of Faithfulness (Dan 6)
I believe all of us want to be consistent–the question is how? How do we continue to grow when life is hard? How will we keep our commitments? How will we live for Christ, and not compromise in a world that hates Him? How will we still seek God when our friends or family are not around? The answer is found in Daniel 6.
The Purpose of Every Person
Many Christians are living by the wrong purpose and they don’t know it, even though it robs them of abundant joyful living. I am not talking about ministry, doing more, giving more, joining a small group, finding your giftedness, having longer devotions or attending church–I am talking about why you live your Christian life.
