Living for the Truth of the Gospel (2 John)
What would you say – if you had only a postcard to record your thoughts? Second John records some of the apostle John’s last words to people he loved deeply. He reminds us of three ways that we’re to walk in the truth.
Phony Man #12 Judas, Mr. Traitor part 2 (Mark 3:19)
The eleven apostles are all great encouragements, because they show how ordinary guys can be used of God in mighty ways. Judas, on the other hand, stands as a warning to our hearts of the potential of spiritual carelessness, squandered opportunity, sinful lusts, and the gradual hardening of the heart.
Phony Man #12 Judas, Mr. Traitor – Part 1 (Mark 3:19)
We need to own the reality of traitors in our midst. In the Church, there are real believers and make-believers. There are genuine Christians, and so-called Christians. There are wolves in sheep’s clothing, false teachers, apostates. There are wheat believers, and there are tares in the Church.
Real Men 9-11: Unsung Servants (Mark 3:18)
Each one of us has a job to do as a steward of your gifts. To not pursue this service to the church is a sin of omission. It’s like being an organ in the body, but useless to the body.
Real Man 8: Mr. Devoted Pessimist (Mark 3:18)
Sinful bents are tough to temper or get rid of. It requires a constant focus on the Gospel, reckoning ourselves dead to sin, continual dependence upon the Spirit, and obedience to war against sin.
Zeal For Your House Consumes Me (John 2:17)

Real Man 7: Mr. Despicable (Mark 3:18)
We are deeply sinful, flawed, broken, despicable people. The only difference between our inner persons is this–some of us show our sinful natures outwardly more than others, but all of us are capable of horrible sin and cruel behavior. And every person alive is tremendously guilty.
Real Man #6 Nathanael, Mr. Genuine (Mark 3:18 & John 1:43-51)
Being authentic is desperately needed today, and that is why the New Testament calls for Christians to be sincere and genuine. Of all people on the planet, Christians are to be the most genuine.

Real Man 5: Mr. Limiting (Mark 3:18)
Prior to the birth of the Church with the coming of the Spirit, Philip could not seem to escape his narrow, negative, limiting ways. But God saves men like Philip, and some of you here who are just like Philip–and God can use Philips in great ways.
Real Man 4: Mr. Potential (Mark 3:18)
And God desires to take every man, woman and child here today and transform you into a tool for His glory–a vessel to show off Christ, a servant of the King. And for you men, He wants you to lead like a servant, be responsible for your families, serve in His church, and share the Gospel in this world.
